Director, Global Creative Advertising
Sony Pictures Entertainment is a subsidiary of Sony Entertainment Inc., a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Corporation.
The Director of Creative Advertising (Global) serves an instrumental role in managing projects for creative advertising executives and filmmakers. Primary responsibilities revolve around the creation of global print and audio visual materials used in promoting feature films both domestically and internationally. This role requires the flexibility and focus to handle development of creative materials for multiple movies simultaneously at varying stages of the creative process. This person must have the ability to make quick and confident decisions, interpret research and analyze competitive materials in the marketplace while also being an effective communicator.
Responsibilities:
• Review creative with creative advertising executives and supervise copy and art revisions and/or next steps to outside agencies; traffic creative materials to and from outside agencies
• Oversee legal and clearance of global print and A/V material
• Liaise regularly with respective territories and ensure materials are provided on a timely basis; Monitor development, production, and worldwide distribution of all creative material
• Monitor creative changes and prepare materials for presentation
• Submit creative material for filmmaker and talent approval
• Present and compile feedback from all global territories and markets
• Create bespoke creative materials for international markets
• Supervise the finishing and translating of all creative materials for all territories and markets
• Set up talent photo shoots; serve as liaison between the studio and talent representation and managing all aspects with outside advertising agencies from photo shoot concept approval through execution of shoot
• Work in tandem with print production to develop and implement schedules to meet material deadlines
• Oversee the finishing of key art for use in theatrical one-sheets, outdoor, newspaper. Aspects include approving color correction and re-touching; proofing and approval of print mechanicals
• Manage high-security film elements and delivery of source materials to outside agencies
• Oversee audio visual post-production in the finishing of trailers, TV and Radio spots
• Approve color correction for TV spots and mixes for TV and Radio spots; promotional reels
Requirements:
• BA required
• A minimum 6-8 years of entertainment marketing experience at a studio or entertainment creative agency
• Experience managing a high volume of campaigns in parallel, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
• Deep knowledge of international marketing campaigns and of the creative process, timelines, and resource allocation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and quick thinking in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, able to adapt to growing business needs and possess strong interpersonal and management skills
• Must work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Quick learner with energy to drive aggressive and flexible deadlines while managing multiple priorities
• Confident and competent in present ideas and thinking with coherence and conviction at any level
• Experience with brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution
