Creative Executive II
Summary:
The Creative Executive II manages the development and production of assigned television series. This position will develop and cultivate relationships with industry contacts (i.e. writers, agents, showrunners, directors and talent) in order to both staff series and source ideas which will be developed into series. This position will review scripts and pitches, work to acquire IP, and bring together key players (showrunner, supervising director, producers, etc.) who will commit to producing the series.
Responsibilities:
• Offers creative support (feedback, research, etc.) on projects through all stages of development and production
• Searches for new talent, both emerging and veteran, that can develop new concepts and/or support pre-pilot and series transition phases of development
• Searches for staffing needs as projects transition to series, maintaining databases and overseeing day to day progress
• Find and pitch new material to senior management with a creative point of view
• Builds and maintains relationships with writers, showrunners, producers, directors and other talent
• Liaise with Business Affairs and Legal on progress for talent negotiations
• Provides notes on pitches, outlines, scripts, board pitches, animatics and cuts
• Identifies and pursue potential new business opportunities
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of experience working in Production, preferably in the Entertainment industry or related field (internships included)
• Bachelor's degree required
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Proficient in Mac and PC platforms, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Keynote & Photoshop
• Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize, ensuring all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Must be flexible – an ability to work in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision
