Coordinator, Traffic Operations
The Traffic Coordinator Manages the input of Ad Sales Orders for U.S. Networks. Curates and Maintains Ad Sales Campaigns for U.S. Networks. Acts as Liaison between U.S. Networks, Ad Sales Partners and Playout Facility. Assists in multiple traffic facets as needed: material instructions, log manipulation, log finalization, promo management, timings, reconciliation and administrative duties. Works with Programming Department to make sure all promotion efforts are being executed.
Job Requirements
• Traffic Operations
• Manages input of all Orders received
• Curates revisions of said orders in accordance with all traffic guidelines and requirements
• Keeps open communication with Ad Sales partners and Agencies doing due diligence on accurate Order intake
• Adhere to Ad Sales special priority instructions
• Ensure proper scheduling of units based on contract dayparts and inventory codes
• Assist in locating and delivery of commercial copy to our playout facility, and adherence to material instructions sent by Ad Agencies
• Work with Supervisor and traffic team to spot check all ads before they are sent out for ingest
• Liaison between Ad Sales Partners and Playout Facility
• Other duties may be assigned as needed by Management: material instructions, log manipulation, log finalization, promo management and administrative duties
• Administrative Duties
• Heavy filing for Traffic Operations department
• Other duties may be assigned as needed by Management
Requirements
• Traffic experience at a network or broadcast station.
• Knowledge of the Traffic Systems (Wide Orbit), Traffic functions, Ad Sales and a general knowledge of the Entertainment Industry preferred.
• Effective oral communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Independent prioritization, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Work effectively on a team and independently.
• Consistently keep all relevant parties apprised of on-going situations in a timely manner. Communication is KEY.
• Proactively review existing procedures and processes and recommend streamlining ideas.
• Read a schedule and analyze it for any potential scheduling issues.
• Effectively juggle multiple high-level priorities
• Be flexible with daily hours as they may be dictated by volume, activity, projects etc.
