Coordinator, North American Distribution Research
The Coordinator, North American Distribution Research is part of a holistic team that supports the distribution and monetization of film and television content in the U.S. and Canada. Distribution Research spans all platforms of television: Network, Cable, Broadcast Syndication, SVOD, AVOD, transactional and other digital platforms. This is an entry level research role that also requires administrative support responsibilities for the department. It is an important role that will be physically located in Los Angeles but will provide dynamic support for SPT business efforts across North America. It requires high levels of adaptability and flexibility, the ability to multi-task, attention to details, excellent communication and strong time management skills. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of North American Distribution Research but will be responsible to partner with all members of the Distribution Research Team and to coordinate with other teams in the Sony organization as needed (ie. Distribution, Ad Sales, Marketing, Production Research, International Research, etc).
Key Responsibilities:
• The Coordinator's responsibilities are split across two core functions: Administrative Support and Research (approximately a 20/80 split)
• Administrative responsibilities include: managing schedules, coordinating calendars, organizing meetings, accounting for expenses, ordering supplies for department, archiving key information, etc.
• Research responsibilities include: regular reporting responsibilities, tracking releases, collecting and distributing data, project support, presentation building, analysis, delivering insights
Experience/Skills:
• Bachelor's degree
• Professional work experience (in media and entertainment a plus)
• Proficiency with Office Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
• Must be adaptable/flexible, highly organized, able to multi-task: coordinate and prioritize multiple workstreams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to and work well with others; flexing between individual and support roles as necessary
• Comfortable working in a matrix environment
• Proactive, problem-solver
• Must be highly detail-oriented, reliable and always maintain data integrity
• Must be curious, ask questions, driven to find answers / solutions and seek out alternate workarounds when necessary
• Familiarity with television, media metrics and methodologies across all platforms a plus
• Familiarity with Home Entertainment, especially EST and rental a plus
• Familiarity with non-linear, digital and social media a plus
• Familiarity with Nielsen Ratings and products and systems a strong plus
• Familiarity with analytics tools like Tableau, Google Analytics and Omniture also a plus
