Analyst, Research - Motion Picture Grou
The position envisions plans, manages and conducts research and analytical projects that address the Strategic Marketing & Research Department's needs. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Tracking document aggregation – compilation and distribution of tracking documents on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday before 9am inclusive of brainstorming comparative film titles and building comparative film charts
• Assist in the process of recruited audience screenings, working closely with production to coordinate guest lists, invites, and comment card distribution to designation creative executives and filmmakers
• Report and analyze film profiles post-mortem i.e. audience segmentation, rating, recommendation, and reasons for attending
• Actively oversee creative materials testing process, box office predictions, and consumer behavior/trends.
• Maintain and update research databases including box office historicals, ad/print testing, screening archival, and positioning/brand studies
• Establishment of effective relationships with external vendors to ensure the successful execution of the fieldwork
• Selection of appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques to meet a defined research objective
• Assistance in the development of research instruments and moderator guides, as well as reporting actionable recommendations
• Careful review of collected data for quality control purposes
Responsibilities
for Screenings:
• Communicate with creative executives on intended guest / invite list
• Handle invites and guest list generation/updating with RSVPs
• Gather physical/digital addresses to use for delivery of comment cards for filmmakers
• Work with vendor to assure timely deliverable process
• Generate screening packets for attendees, aggregating 10 specific film/screening documents for executive attendees
• Handling invoicing process in passing along the invoices to the correct post production accountant and supplying coding/PO#s
• Update Screen Tab Summary with data and tabulation results from screenings for closed ended options
Requirements:
• Individual must possess extreme proficiency in written and quantitative skills. SPSS/Regression Analysis are mandatory
• Strong project management skills. Must be detailed oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication as well as presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to various levels of key internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge/Experience of surveys
• Solid Quantitative and Qualitative research background. Familiarity with methodologies and the latest approaches to Ad Testing, Branding and Positioning
• Bachelor's Degree plus 1-3 years of experience at an entertainment company
