Administrative Assistant III, Technical Operations - Sony Pictures Television
Sony Pictures Television is seeking an Admin lll for the Technical Operations dept of its Worldwide Networks Operations Group in our Culver City headquarters. SPT operates a portfolio of branded entertainment channels, available in 178 countries, reaching more than 2 billion cumulative households worldwide. The channels offer high quality film and television content. The SPT Networks Technical Operations department is a geographically-distributed, but highly collaborative department that leads strategy and oversees daily operations on a global level for SPT's portfolio of linear television networks. The successful candidate will support primarily the home-office team, in various capacities.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will report into EVP Technical Operations, Networks, in Culver City to:
(70%) General Administrative Support for 3 in CC (EVP, Director, Manager)
• Arrange events, meetings, facilitating necessary resources and itineraries; Interface with other departments and divisions as needed
• Process invoices through Ariba and SAP
• Manage international/domestic travel
• Prepare expense reports
• Manage calendars
• Create PowerPoint presentations
• Manage office supplies
• Occasional phone coverage for EVP Networks Operations, Programming, and Strategy as required
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned
(30%) Specialized Administrative support for Manager, Vendor Administration
• Assist in collecting, collating, and organizing operational data provided by both outside and in-house technical services providers
• Draft communications and memos
• Create PowerPoint performance reports
• Maintain TechOps departmental databases and documentation
Job Qualifications:
• B.A. in a media, communications, or business related major (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3 years' experience working for a technology or media company in a similar capacity.
• Must possess advanced computer skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
• Experience with Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, Ariba, Adobe Photoshop, Tableau, and AutoCAD Light a definite plus
• Detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interface and demonstrate sensitivity effectively at all levels of an organization
• Ability to multi-task, meeting all deadlines, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong team player with enthusiasm and drive who can grasp new concepts quickly
• Demonstrated ability with time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
• Proven self-starter and independent problem-solving ability with sense to understand implications of work and probe more deeply when presented with inconsistent or interesting findings
• Familiarity of International markets or a foreign language helpful, but not required
