Administrative Assistant III, Creative Development and Production - Columbia Pictures
Summary:
The Creative Development and Production department at Columbia Pictures specializes in big budget mainstream film content for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Reporting into the EVP of Creative Production at Columbia Pictures, the Administrative Assistant will provide full range of administrative support including handling phones, calendar, filing, drafting correspondence, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, handling correspondence.
Job Description:
• Heavy screenplay reading, and book reading
• Multi-tasking phone calls, scheduling, filing, etc.
• Heavy volume of email submissions, organizing different projects updates
• Word processing (composing and generating letters, memos, and fax cover sheets)
• Ability to monitor and maintain writer, director, and actor lists on a daily basis, and calling representatives for scheduling availabilities for all talent.
• Knowledge of industry players around town at major agencies and production companies
• Proof reading and editing; ability to do story notes when needed
• Processing expense reports
• Managing document flow, including creating and maintaining files (electronic and hard copy)
• Other general administrative duties (processing mail, copying, etc.)
• Miscellaneous duties as required
Job Requirements:
• 3 years experience as an Executive Assistant in the Entertainment industry
• Agency, Management, and Production Company relationships
• Knowledge of Filmmakers, Screenwriters, Literary Authors, and Representatives
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Lotus Notes)
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Knowledge of Final Draft software, and editing final draft formatted screenplays
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, PIX, and other entertainment software programs
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Must be flexible – an ability to work well in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision
• Common sense, dependability, discretion and attention to detail are required
• Must be a self-starter with a team-player attitude
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral (must have a professional and courteous demeanor)
