Administrative Assistant II, TV Networks Business Affairs - Sony Pictures Television
This position will report to the Executive Vice President of Business Affairs and Acquisitions and will be required to perform a variety of administrative duties for the EVP and other attorneys within the department including:
• Coordinating calendars (scheduling appointments, conference calls, travel)
• Answering phones and maintaining message logs
• Processing expense reports
• Complete special projects as required for film and television markets including, but not limited to, setting up meetings, creating screening schedules, reviewing and writing summaries/critiques of programs for potential acquisition
• Managing document flow including creating and maintaining files
• Composing, proof reading, editing and generating letters, memos, and other documents
• Updating databases and lists
• Maintaining programming database and files
• Distributing and following-up on documents and contracts
• Coordinating with other executive assistants to manage daily operations for the department including, but not limited to, maintenance of office supply inventory, copiers and fax machines, lunchtime phone coverage, etc.
• Other general administrative duties (processing mail, copying, filing, etc.)
• Miscellaneous projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
• 1-3 years administrative experience (paralegal or legal / business affairs experience with a law firm or a major entertainment company is preferred)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook; Excel, Powerpoint, ARIBA and SAP a plus)
• Strong Internet research skills
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality essential
• Flexible with an ability to work well in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to constant revision
• Ability to develop innovative ways to solve any problems that may arise
• Common sense, dependability, discretion and attention to detail required
• Must be a self-starter with a team-player attitude
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral (must have a professional and courteous demeanor)
