Sr. Financial Analyst, International Home Entertainment
The International Home Entertainment Senior Financial Analyst is the liaison for a portfolio of operating territories. The SFA is expected to have in-depth business knowledge of the designated territories, present the current state and outlook of the business, and advise finance management of risks and issues. The SFA partners with finance management in the territories to 1) ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP, 2) ensure complete, accurate budgets and forecasts, 3) continuously enhance process efficiency, 4) provide feedback and guidance to the territories, and 5) lead special projects and ad hoc activities.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze territory and consolidated financial results including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, AR Aging, Return Reserve, Bad Debts Reserve, Inventory Reserve, and Sales Incentive Programs in accordance with US GAAP. At the conclusion of the analysis, the SFA should be able to render opinion on reasonableness and address issues (if any).
Review and analyze territory budgets / forecasts / mid-range plan for reasonableness, potential risks and opportunities.
Analyze revenue & profit by title (Actual vs. Budget, Forecast, Flash, and prior periods) and present the reasons for the variances.
Review territory statutory ledger for differences between US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
Perform Home Office Monitoring Controls in compliance with SOX requirements.
Prepare monthly flash submissions to Corporate and Profit Owners.
Lead special projects/ad hoc finance activities, make recommendations to IHE Finance Team on process improvements, and drive standardization/consistency in financial reporting and planning processes.
Coordinate with territories, Profit Owners, SAP team, to ensure profit of each title is allocated to the appropriateOwnerProfitCenterwithin SPE.
Respond to various requests for information from other areas of the Company, including Corporate, Home Entertainment Management, Marketing, and Participations.
Liaise with various IT teams in designing IHE Business Warehouse reports, testing prior to production, and resolving questions/issues on Essbase data.
Required Skills:

Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting and financial policies and principles.
Ability to operate effectively in a cross functional team environment.
Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Word, experience with SAP and Essbase preferred.
Experience Required:
2 - 4 years public/or private accounting required (international experience preferred, but not required).
B.S. degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
