SPT has an opening for a Senior Vice President (SVP) Television Business Development in Culver City, CA.
This Senior Vice President (SVP) will have the opportunity to apply business and financial expertise to the international television industry, interact with senior executives, and contribute to SPT’s strategic direction. The position will report to the CFO of Television Business Development
Required Skills:The Senior Vice President (SVP) will:
• be involved in identifying growth opportunities throughout the world along all three lines of business
• evaluate proposed transactions from a strategic and financial perspective, and play a key role in negotiations and deal flow
Specific responsibilities of the Senior Vice President (SVP) include:
• Develop and manage detailed financial analyses and deal approval presentations for new business launches, acquisitions or divestitures. Closely cooperate with SPT executives during negotiations
• Perform financial due diligence into potential acquisition targets, including detailed review of financial statements and risk analysis
• Build strong relationships with senior executives as well as finance and operating executives in the U.S. and around the world
• Supervise a team of 9 executivesJob requirements:
• 10 -15 years business experience in strategic planning, strategy consulting or investment banking
• Media & Entertainment industry experience strongly preferred
• MBA preferred, international work experience is a plus
• Strong financial analysis skills; extensive experience in valuation and investment analysis
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of business operations
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting
• Proven ability to manage projects from beginning to completion, ‘can-do’ attitude
• Travel 20%-30%
