Full Time Job
This position supports the Vice President, Video & Content Production with the commercialization of our video assets.
Responsibilities
• Research and call in masters for Video Producer to review
• Identify sources in a variety of old formats, including HDCam, digibeta, beta SP, 1'', 2'', and 3/4'' tapes
• Liaise with Media Production for inventory of Long Form and Short Form video already ingested
• Liaise with outside production and authoring houses to retrieve elements from past video productions
• Ingest archival and newly sourced material and create appropriate digital files
• Create a single file of all feature and bonus elements for backfill deliveries
• Create the necessary trailers, VICs, poster and cover art for backfill deliveries
• QC all content before submitting for delivery
• Assign chapter points based on original DVD where applicable
• Prepare titles for frontline release, making sure that all video materials sent to authoring are to spec
• Create TV edits of longform content for broadcast partners according to their format requirements
• Break longform videos up into shorter clips to send to our streaming video partners
• Edit clip compilations for label presentations
• Create highlight/sizzle reels of projects for sales, screening, approval, etc.
• Create links for clips that need to be sent around for screening, approval, download, etc.
• Edit songs from HD features to be used in lobby screens
• Maintain organized back-up archive of all projects delivered for distribution
• Attempt to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise in the edit suites or machine room
• Upload and deliver formatted files to digital distribution and archiving systems
• Monitor related job tickets for any issues that may arise
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Basic video analog-to-digital digitization skills in Final Cut or similar
• Knowledge of previously-released commercial long form products
• Knowledge of previously-released promotional short form video
• Strong project management skills
• Highly responsible, collaborative and self-motivated
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus while working under stressful and demanding timelines
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
