Reporting to the Director, Brand Marketing. The Orchard has an immediate opening for a full-time Video Content Creator & Editor in the NYC office. This position requires thorough knowledge of video editing applications as well as filming and production skill set for small scale to mid-level content capture. The role would interact and collaborate with various internal teams as well as artists and label base.
What you'll do:
• Develop an overall video strategy in collaboration with marketing and creative teams
• Create engaging visual media for multiple channel outputs, including digital (e.g. YouTube) and social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.)
• Create and edit custom video content such as behind-the-scenes pieces, talent interviews, The Orchard Presents artist performances, sizzle reels for both internal and industry facing events
• Develop video content to support release campaigns for labels and artists and act as a liaison with third party production partners
• Work with content calendars to ensure timely campaign initiatives
• Manage and maintain production equipment and software
• Eagerly tackle unprecedented tasks in an environment of evolving priorities and act in a flexible manner as day-to-day responsibilities may shift quickly
Who you are:
• 3 years experience as a video editor with strong technical experience in using video and editing equipment
• Strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite (After Effects experience a plus!), project set-up, and essential editorial workflows
• Detail-oriented with experience managing more than one concurrent project, and can independently prioritize your projects to meet deadlines
• Skilled in producing storytelling content to boost brand recognition
• Experienced in video editing and filming
• Ability to apply creative thinking to developing engaging concepts and producing web and social media content
• Ability to learn new software and tools quickly
• Ability to interface effectively with team as well as labels and artists
