Responsibilities
The Sr. Analyst, Finance & Operations is responsible for performing financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis functions integral to supporting the business operations of the Latin-Iberia region and consolidation of regional results. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• • Preparation of monthly financial statements and forecast submissions, including preparation of journal entries, quarterly review and year-end audit packages, and responsibility for maintenance of all relevant financial models and SAP/BPC uploads.
• Preparation of the annual business plan, including analysis of royalty and manufacturing cost of sales estimates, and responsibility for maintenance of all relevant revenue, cost of sales, marketing and overhead financial models and Hyperion reporting requirements.
• Business processes and company policies’ review to help enhance workflow.
• Collaboration with Sales, Operations, Marketing and A&R teams to help find ways to make the business more efficient and successful.
• Review of operational processes to identify and implement improvements.
• Consolidation of all affiliate-reporting packages including, but not limited to: monthly P&L and balance sheet packages and overhead reporting versus annual business plan. Review consolidated reports for accuracy, investigate unusual fluctuations, transactions, etc.
• Preparation of monthly reporting packages for senior management.
• Develop and maintain queries to retrieve financial data from various financial systems (SAP, BI/BW, BPC, Tableau…).
• Improvement of company’s performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, recommending actions to management.
• Sales, marketing, talent and overhead analysis and preparation of financial schedules in connection with periodic senior management business review meetings.
• Preparation and distribution of monthly travel and entertainment reports, analysis of unusual items.
• Ad hoc special projects and analyses for Regional office and corporate senior management, including Power Point presentations of financial results, forecast and plan data.
• Review and analysis of Latin-Iberia affiliates’ annual budget submission.
• Approval/validation of financial information related to the POs issued by the local office.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 4 years of business experience in accounting or financial analysis role (entertainment / music industry experience a plus, with an interest in music being ideal).
• Working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). An emphasis on Access database modeling would be highly preferred.
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion business software preferred.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to consolidate and summarize large amounts of data down to a management reporting level.
• Excellent presentation skills, with an ability to present the data to management, including speaking to the trends and major drivers of the activity.
• Well organized, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks.
• Must demonstrate strong initiative.
• Ability to proactively and productively work in team settings, including being receptive, open minded and objective when encountering diverse points of view.
• Must set high standards of performance for one’s self, strive for distinction in all tasks and exhibit sense of pride in work product.
