Overview
As a Marketing Director in our Podcast Division, you will obsess over strategies that bring ears to our shows. You're a strategic and creative marketer who can combine your marketing experience, analytical skills and creative insight to drive listenership. We are looking for a seasoned content marketer with a strong, demonstrable track record of launching innovative campaigns to support media properties. This person will serve as the strategic marketing leader on our west coast team. Establish the objectives, key results, processes and workflow for show launches. This position is part of Sony Music's podcast team in LA and reports to the VP of Marketing for Podcasting.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and create new show launch strategies to exceed audience targets for new podcasts
• Grow listenership for existing shows and back catalog episodes
• Plan and optimize marketing spend to achieve results and test new tactics
• Partner with podcast apps and platforms to secure co-marketing opportunities
• Analyze and report outcomes of audience growth initiatives to senior management, producers and talent
• Liaise with all Sony labels and companies to help support any internal podcast initiatives
• Work with sales team to develop advertising pitches, RFPs and supporting collateral.
• Assist with overseeing brand development of podcast division
Qualifications
• 10 years marketing experience, with a background in media or entertainment marketing strongly preferred
• A proven track record of creating and executing impactful marketing campaigns with demonstrable ROI
• Solid understanding of creative positioning, key art/video execution, advertising and entertainment marketing
• Equally creative and & analytical, with exceptional communication skills
• A true love of podcasts
• Undergraduate degree required
