Legacy Recordings is seeking a Social Media Manager to develop, plan and execute short and long-term social media strategies for the Legacy Recordings brand and Legacy artist roster.
The day-to-day core responsibility will focus on shaping and activating social media campaigns that drive engagement, transactions, support business growth, maintain and engage fans of the Legacy brand and artists that Legacy represents.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all Legacy artist & label social channels, managing messaging/marketing and post optimization in both evergreen and project-specific instances.
• Strong participation role in weekly editorial meeting to map out monthly editorial calendar to share with US and ex-US markets.
• Maintain artist and label editorial calendars for social media platforms. Work cross-functionally across the organization to continually update and optimize calendars to ensure maximum engagement with posted content.
• Oversee management of third party social media agencies, working closely with internal content team, sales and marketing on creative, editorial and sourcing requirements as well as workflow optimization.
• Manage post boosting testing / optimization, creative development, and analysis for social campaigns, sharing findings in an ongoing manner with key stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on social media campaigns, strategies and recommendations for staff, artists, managers and estates, making appropriate strategic recommendations to deliver ROI-positive outcomes. Expectation is to deliver at least 1 internal (marketing meeting or All Players) presentation per month.
• Share findings on competitive strategies, social media trends and circulating salient articles/blog posts/reports to relevant parties; making ongoing recommendations to improve Legacy’s social media results.
• Run regular hands-on social media sessions with Legacy teams to ensure social media knowledge essential to their job functions is a part of their skill set
• Create appropriate feedback loops and communication channels among Legacy staff to ensure social media opportunities, competitive strategies/campaigns, data and learnings are disseminated to key stakeholders; making ongoing recommendations to improve Legacy’s social media channels & campaign results.
• Liaise and support global teams on artist and label social campaigns by providing assets, best practices and analysis where relevant.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in marketing or social media marketing, computer science, communications or business.
• Social Media Savvy: Demonstrated knowledge of and professional experience with social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat.
• Working knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google AdWords and Social Media Ad strategy and platforms
• Knowledgeable in best practices of campaign development to optimize efficiency and quality of campaigns across all social channels
• Experience in social media content deployment, including copy writing/editing, image editing/optimizing and scheduling/optimizing posts for best performance.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast paced high change and hands on environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative, organized, detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional follow-up skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment
• Deep love and passion for music and the artists who create it, and a strong desire to create highly engaged fan communities in the social media space
