The Manager, Finance GDB will join a dynamic and enthusiastic team and will be responsible for assisting the Directors, Finance GDB in performing various financial and operational functions for the Global Digital Business Unit. Success in the role will be dependent upon strong analytical skills sets to understand digital revenue recognition accounting.
Responsibilities
Key results/task area
Efficient and reliable support to the Global Digital Business Finance and Deal Admin teams in NYC, including accurate and timely forecasting and reporting of information.
Key areas of responsibility
• Perform financial analysis of new and existing Digital Service Provider contracts (Global and US deals) and ensure accounting of newly executed deals as per Accounting Guidelines
• Determine cost of sales which need to be updated in systems associated with new and existing contracts
• Administrate Global and SMEIL deals, deferred revenue accounts, communicate accruals for global and SMEIL accounts distribution to affiliates
• Oversee invoicing to DSPs
• Perform/Review Analysis of global intercompany account; issue monthly Credit Memo for Global and SMEIL deals
• Assist in the Equity/Cost accounting of Investments
• Upload monthly Forecast for GDB entities
• Assist in monthly Flash reports and variance explanation
• Prepare monthly revenue reports for SOX
• Create and park journal entries as needed
• Assist in preparing annual Budget package/uploads
• Provide support in quarterly review, year-end financial audits and day-to-day label activity
• Additional ad hoc special projects and analyses for corporate and senior management including preparation of Power Point presentations
Qualifications
• 3 – 5 years of experience, CPA preferred
• Finance and Accounting, Audit Experience
• Music industry / Digital Industry experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, etc.) and proficient in other Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Strong analytical skills
• SAP / Business Objects/ BPC experience preferred
• Well organized, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
• Strong team player, enthusiastic and eager to learn
• Rigorous attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
