The Sony Music Entertainment HR Team partners with employees across its business units to maximize employee potential and accomplish the goals of the organization. About the Role
You will be tasked with delivering core HR services, and taking a true partnership approach to your work. You will provide objective advice on complex issues, and advise employees on policies and best practices. You’ll deliver the full suite of HR Products and services to the business you partner with, including, but not limited to, talent acquisition and retention, professional development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee career development.

Responsibilities
Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships across business units, aligning HR strategy to business needs.
Operations: Work with your HR Team to execute initiatives within the organizations we support. This may include, but is not limited to, performance management, leadership development, compensation planning, policy development, HR compliance, onboarding, terminations, and global mobility.
Strategy: Help identify organizational challenges and opportunities. Craft and implement strategies to address all aspects of workforce planning, talent management, organizational design, and more.
Coaching: Work with your HR Team to create and implement solutions that will impact employees, their teams, and management through a variety of coaching strategies. Regularly partner with Learning & Development to introduce innovative and engaging programs where appropriate. This may include individual coaching on best practices for leaders to improve their people management skills, career and job coaching, and programs to enhance communication between employees.
Be Proactive: You should always strive to anticipate issues before they arise, and to create short and long-term plans for your organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 5 - 8 years of demonstrated HR experience (either operational or business partner experience). They will have broad based knowledge of human resources best practices, such as compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, etc. They will be familiar with federal and state employment laws, HR Systems and reporting tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, and relevant industry experience is a plus.
