The position of Digital Sales Specialist is responsible for providing support to the digital business team in addition to provide information and tools to digital service providers to create and maximize exposure for Sony US Latin artists. This position is also responsible, but not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
• Create, update and manage the necessary information to present to DSPs to pitch our releases.
• Communicate upcoming releases and work closely with other departments and territories.
• Compile, generate and distribute daily, weekly and monthly sales figures and reports for the department.
• Maintain Latin Region digital release, TV, and tour schedules.
• Research, make record of, and distribute as necessary significant features and placements on all major DSPs in order to analyze and define the strength of the relationship between our marketing efforts and product sales.
• Make strategic recommendations and manage submission process for regularly occurring DSPs.
• Curate Playlists based on performance.
• Communicate and provide updated/relevant publicity photos and cover art for upcoming releases, artist pages, and banners to all major DSPs and content aggregators.
• Develop strategies around releases.
• Support the Digital Business Team.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales or related field preferred.
• Thorough understanding of current digital music distribution partners and industry best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Latin Music and interest in a wide variety of musical generations and genres.
• Team player - able to balance complex external and internal business relationships.
• Excellent organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Soundscan and other sales reporting tools.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Fluent in Spanish verbally and in writing
