Responsibilities
Media Relations:
• Secure tour press, album reviews, interviews, mentions with active label roster.
• Draft and edit press releases / signing announcements / artist one sheets.
• Act as label representative at various media events – print interviews, radio performances, TV shows etc.
• Discover and execute new opportunities for artists outside of traditional press/media outlets such as Facebook Live events, performance sessions, and podcasts.
• Manage the 6000 person media database for Masterworks publicity team.
• Assist in development and execution of artist events, showcases and listening sessions including helping to find the venue, coordinating food/beverages, managing invites, inviting press and on site needs.
• Update and disseminate press clips and press reports to staff and managers.
• Coordinate all artist travel and logistics around press junkets and TV appearances.
• Work with indie PR reps to deliver physical and digital press mailings.
Soundtrack Marketing:
• Soundtrack asset management (music video, social media assets, images, advertising spots) which includes organizing and upload to cloud service.
• Track film company, artist and relevant social media accounts to ensure collaboration on our marketing messaging.
• Create YouTube playlists and maintain Spotify playlists.
• Proofread and traffic soundtrack artwork.
• Create weekly summaries tracking buzz and reviews on films.
General:
• Coordinate activities and act as a liaison with other internal departments, executives, employees, artists and their management.
• Process invoices in a timely and efficient manner.
• Send Fed-Ex packaging and mailings.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and with 1-2 years of administrative experience in publicity or marketing preferred.
• Excellent command of language with strong writing skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus while working under stressful and demanding situations.
• Professional and positive demeanor.
• Authentic enthusiasm for all types of music.
• Ability to work independently, be detail-oriented, remain flexible, and handle routine tasks with minimal supervision.
• The use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are absolutely required.
• Must have knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Suite with Photoshop a plus.
