The Orchard is looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities
The Orchard’s Film & TV division represents the next chapter of significant growth for the company, and has seen impressive growth over the last few years while providing end-to-end digital distribution services to many premiere brands including the NBA, Scholastic and Red Bull Media, as well as feature length scripted and documentary filmmakers/producers. Coupled with a robust film & TV acquisitions strategy, The Orchard’s growing theatrical, physical and digital business represents a unique opportunity for the right candidate looking for growth in an entrepreneurial environment.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Assistant is a proactive, driven, and creative individual with a passion for indie films. The individual will be responsible for supporting the sales team across all cable, satellite, and digital releases.
• Update The Orchard’s release schedule, sales grid, and other internal databases
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of The Orchard’s slate and sales presentations
• Submit invoices and follow up on payments
• Outline on-platform merchandising on release day and build marketing decks
• Brainstorm catalogue lifecycle opportunities and assist in promoting seasonal library titles
• Drive sales post-mortem analysis
• Help facilitate the development of key creative assets and marketing materials throughout the campaign
• Keep a constant, keen eye on competitive trends and activities within the digital distribution industry
• Optimizing The Orchard AVOD content on YouTube
• Help organize the Sales and Marketing intern program and delegate responsibilities
• Work closely with various cross-departmental groups
• Assist sales team locking in promotions and across physical home entertainment business in regards to deadlines and trackers
• Ad Hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Experience working in film, marketing, or sales environment
• Knowledgeable at PowerPoint and other computer skills including Excel, Word, and Photoshop is a plus
• Strong presentation skills
• General knowledge of traditional and emergin content distribution platforms
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational, time management skills, and must be a team player
• At ease in fast-paced, high energy, ever-changing work environment
