Sony/ATV Music Publishing in Nashville is seeking to fill the position of Manager, Copyright Data Administration.
This position will have the following responsibilities:
•Analyze, manipulate and process song data files for automated ingestion into proprietary copyright management database.
•Collaborate with various members of Sony/ATV administrative teams on song data ingestion responsibilities and special projects.
•Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to management team concerning specific and overall progress of certain ingestion projects and catalogs.
•Perform post-ingestion data validation and execute or organize any ensuing data refurbishment.
•Involvement and assistance with song catalog administration transition projects en masse, including catalog acquisitions, deal expirations and copyright reversions.
•Generate (and enhance) system reports as they relate to existing or new ingestion initiatives.
•Assist in the standardization, regulation and enforcement of data file delivery, as it pertains to data integrity and reporting protocols.
•Consistently pursue, identify and classify 'candidate' files of works for data ingestion and redistribute 'non-candidate' files.
•Other ad-hoc duties as may be required.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
•Advanced knowledge of and ability with Microsoft Excel, Access, MS Office in general, and other common business software.Excel Certification a plus.
•Ability to quickly and competently analyze song data file structures and work with large volumes of data and metadata.
•Experience in systems development and design, and user acceptance testing.
•Ability to evaluate, plan, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, and output.
•Minimum of 5 years' experience in music publishing administration or a related field.
•Ability to proficiently record and track ingestion progress, issues and offer potential solutions.
•Positive ''can do'' attitude, with strong ambition and aspirations to lead the way in music industry data ingestion.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical and research abilities.
•Ability to work in a high-pressure/deadline-oriented environment; communicating comfortably with coworkers, IT developers and senior management.
