The Licensing Coordinator position will have the following responsibilities:
Maintenance of various internal databases used by Licensing and other departments
*Research song details and analyze activity of newly charted releases
*Initial entry of Billboard charting data into various internal databases used by Licensing and other departments
*Coordination of song confirmation between Copyright staff and record labels
*Assist Licensing staff with securing mechanical licenses with record labels
*Seek approval from writers with licensing restrictions
*Prepare licenses and various documents for document imaging system
*Assist Licensing staff with various tasks and special projects
A qualified candidate must possess the following skills:
*Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude
*Strong analytical abilities
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills while working constructively with different personalities
*Highly organized and detail oriented
*Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while handling multiple varied tasks
*Proficiency in MS Office with the ability to quickly learn programs
*Previous music publishing or equivalent industry experience required
