Internship Description
Skybound Entertainment (The Walking Dead, Outcast) is looking for driven, organized individuals to intern two to three days a week at their Los Angeles office. Throughout the semester, interns will learn what it takes to develop and produce films, television, comic books and digital content. By reading scripts, writing coverage, conducting industry-related research, answering phones, taking on general office work and assisting with special projects - interns will gain a firsthand knowledge of what it takes to succeed in the entertainment industry. Interns will also have the opportunity to work with management and ask questions, with an eye toward learning more about the business side of the industry.
Interns will also be provided the opportunity to go through a resume workshop, receive feedback on resumes, attend an interview seminar and access to a presentation breaking down how to look for and apply for industry jobs post college.
Candidates MUST be able to receive college credit.
Qualifications
• All applicants must be eligible to receive college credit
• Applicants should be highly-driven and self-motivated
• Upbeat, friendly, positive attitudes are appreciated
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Exceptional writer
• Exceptional verbal communications skills
Learning Objectives
• Introduction to administrative tasks which will increase hireability in the future
• Opportunity to give notes on active projects
• Opportunity to network with company executives
• Improving writing and analyzing script skills
