Full Time Job
In this position, you will have exposure to a wide variety of HR disciplines and processes – supporting Operational Warehouse Business Functions as well as Office and Administrative Business Functions. Main responsibility will be Payroll point of contact; to record and process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing along with administering policies relating to all phases of human resources/payroll activity by performing the following duties:
DUTIES:
• Payroll Duties: Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources/payroll functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Calculates and adjusts vacation accruals
• Processes weekly/semi-monthly payrolls, calculates and adjusts vacation accruals for new hires and transfers; and incentive pays.
• Tracks employee attendance for adherence to attendance policy and issues appropriate warnings
• Administers and tracks all LOA's: STD, FMLA
• Maintains and tracks building and security access via the employee badge system
• Coordinates all temporary agency assignments & manages time cards
• Interacts with controller's department on all SOX payroll reporting and quarterly audits
• Resolves employee inquiries as needed; actively partners with the business
• Assists in the coordinating facility activities and events (i.e. job fairs, holiday events)
• Supports the Head Recruiter in sourcing activities and initiatives:
o Sending onboarding documents, pre-employment drug screen form
o Enter hiring candidate information into HRIS
o Assist with job fairs, coordinating interviews
o Sourcing candidates as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Payroll Processing or Administration/Payroll Support.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting programs in an HR Office or Business Office.
• Proficient in MS Office and HR systems preferred
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties or issues simultaneously, in support of a fast-paced HR department.
• Excellent communication skills; customer service oriented; and problem solving skills
SCHEDULED WORK HOURS: Monday- Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM
