Sales/E-Commerce Temp
Beloved by fans and filmmakers, Shout! Factory is a unique producer and distributor of independent film, classic and contemporary TV, music, animation, and comedy. The founders pioneered the careful curation and marketing of pop culture music with their first company, Rhino Records. They brought the same passion for quality content to the video space when founding Shout! Factory in 2003, and today we curate film and TV content across comedy, horror, animation, nostalgia and fan favorites, delivered thru theatrical release, digital streaming, downloads, broadcast television and DVD.
We are searching for a Sales Temp to join our team in our Los Angeles office. The Sales/E-commerce department is a six-person team giving the right candidate a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in many areas. Who are we looking for? Someone who is proactive, organized and works well with numbers/databases. Film/pop culture enthusiasm and Computer Science education or experience is a plus. This is a paid, full-time position through the end of January 2022.
Reports to: Manager, E-commerce
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-We will train the candidate to do level one customer service for the main Shout! fan base. This candidate may also work with a licensing partner to manage customer service for a recent Kickstarter campaign.
-Work in multiple databases and coordinate heavily with the customer service team and communicate directly with multiple distribution centers to insure customer satisfaction.
-Update website databases; familiarity with online database interfaces a must (e.g. updating links, creating redirects).
-Manage record keeping via Excel documents; must be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
-Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
-2-5 years' experience in customer service for an online entity.
-Ability to take direction, work well with a small team, and manage shifting priorities.
-Must be detail oriented and understand the effect of their contribution on the final work product.
-Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
-A high proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, is required.
-Strong interest and appreciation for online sales, entertainment and pop culture is preferred. The best candidate will have an interest in the ever-changing universe of web sales technology.
-Experience in the Shopify platform a plus.
