Shackelford Bowen McKinley & Norton, a prominent law firm with offices throughout the country, including Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney with 3-7 years of experience in entertainment, music, and/or media law to join our Nashville office.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of entertainment and media transactional matters, including negotiating, drafting, and reviewing entertainment industry contracts, including those for artists, songwriters, record companies, publishing companies, live performance companies and technology companies. The successful candidate will also work on a variety of intellectual property (copyright and trademark) and corporate matters.
Requirements:
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Active member of the Tennessee Bar
• 3-7 years of experience with a focus on entertainment and media law
• Experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing entertainment industry contracts
• Basic corporate experience, including corporate formations, operating agreements, familiarity with various corporate entities
• Experience with royalties, copyright, trademark, and other entertainment-related soft IP matters is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Nashville based
• This position is not a fully remote position and regular in-office attendance is required
