We are a dynamic and fast-growing subsidiary of an international artist management company located in Miami Beach, and we are looking for a staff accountant to complement our finance department. The ideal candidate must have excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills as well as the ability to manage priorities and workflow. The staff accountant will report directly to the Operations Manager and will perform duties with an emphasis on tour accounting and general ledger management, account analysis and reconciliation, journal entry preparation and posting, month end close as well as special projects.
Essential Functions:
• Analyze and post daily accounting transactions including A/R and A/P
• Prepare invoices as needed and manage collections
• Verify A/P bills, obtain approval, request vendor set-up as needed and process payments
• Manage payroll using ADP
• Participate and provide support on special projects assigned by management
• Process the month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries, accruals and allocations and reconciling the banks, credit
card, intercompany and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist management in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements and other financial reports as required
• Provide support to the tour manager with the operation and closing of the tours
Qualifications:
• Ability to initiate, prioritize and complete tasks in a high pressure environment with minimal supervision
• Ability to analyze financial data
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible in day-to-day responsibilities
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; music industry experience a must
• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Knowledge of SAP preferred
• Experience working with ADP preferred
• Bilingual: English and Spanish a must.
