Title: Director of E-Commerce
Second City Prints is a boutique merchandise management company for the music industry. We are in search of a new Director of E-Commerce to join our fast-growing company located in Chicago's western suburbs. Our company has grown 100-200% four years in a row, and we are in need of a Director of E-Commerce to help us to continue servicing some of the largest artists and management companies in the music industry. Requirements:
-4+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations; prefer retail/e-commerce and apparel experience
-Music/Entertainment industry experience highly preferred
-Experience with platforms such as Limited Run, Shopify, Bandcamp, Amazon, and Shipstation highly preferred
-Proven ability to effectively motivate, develop, and manage employees. Our culture is a critical part of our success.
-Experience with building or improving inventory management, order deadline management, and warehouse management systems and processes
-Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
-Highest levels of integrity and ethics
-Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and follow-through
-Working knowledge of Operations Management
-Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
-High-energy individual with a strong work ethic
-Proficiency with Excel
Job Duties:
-Train and develop teammates for career progression and learning
-Create training programs for internal fulfillment positions
-Drive continuous improvement to safety, efficiency, cost, organization, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the warehouse
-Develop and maintain a safe work environment
-Ensure correct staff workload & planning using data
-Responsible for achieving all operational goals set down by senior management
-Mentor staff to increase productivity and efficiency
-Develop warehouse programs to keep staff efficient and motivated
-Ensure customer satisfaction by efficient handling of customer orders & delivery
-Develop and implement a barcode inventory management system
-Develop and maintain locations of merchandise within the inventory management system
-Management of fulfillment staffing needs
-Management of employee reviews & employee progressive discipline documentation
-Cost negotiations with all major carriers such as USPS, DHL, etc.
-Purchasing all supplies needed for warehouse
Tracking of employee performance and productivity in monthly metrics
-Follow direction from internal Web Account Management team regarding firm due dates
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
