Video & Equipment Manager - Seasonal Position (May - Sep)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Video Management:
• Create film edits as directed by coaching staff using Synergy – college prospects, free agents, current players, opponent scouting.
• WNBA film analysis as directed by Head Coach and assistant coaches.
• Capture and breakdown all home and road games.
• Manage video needs during home games for visiting teams and officials.
• Assist the coaching staff during practices as needed – charting, keeping statistics, filming practices, etc.
• Order, install and maintain all video equipment.
• Identify and administer best practices and video policies which maximize resources and/or represent cost efficiencies.
• Assist with film breakdown and scouting reports as directed by coaching staff.
• Edit and assist with maintaining team's video library and playbook in JustPlay.
• Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Equipment Management:
• Distribute equipment and supplies to players, coaches, and staff; maintain records and inventory.
• Manage inventory of equipment and gear.
• Insure that locker rooms and court areas are set up in a timely manner for practices and games.
• Launder and care for practice and game gear for Storm and visiting teams.
• Manage and monitor ball kids at games, including scheduling, paperwork, and payroll information.
• Organize and pack gear for all trips and events.
• Coordinate opponent practices, shoot-around, and laundry needs.
• Maintain communication with those in travel party in relation to gear/equipment needs while traveling.
• Exhibit willingness to undertake additional tasks and gather information when necessary.
Qualifications:
• At least two years of basketball related video experience; at least one year with professional basketball team preferred. • Bachelor's Degree preferred. • Extensive experience working with Synergy Sports Technology and understanding of all components of the software. • Good working knowledge of WNBA/NBA rules, regulations and guidelines.• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all player appraisals and proposed transactions.• Highly motivated person with positive attitude and strong organizational skills.• Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously
