SCAT tv Entertainment is seeking an experienced film student or entry level individual who will be responsible for reading and analyzing features, shorts, television, digital and scripted podcast series scripts as well as providing coverage. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain more experience and be actively involved in various aspects of the development/pre-production process. This is a non-paying position but a good opportunity for someone who's looking to build a portfolio of script coverage samples, individuals wanting to become Writers, Producers or Development executives & individuals looking to network and gain experience.
Candidates MUST be able to:
Read/Analyze Scripts
Provide script coverage
Articulate Creative Ideas/Offer Notes & Creative Solutions
Communicate with Other Creatives
Support Producer in All Areas
What You'll Do:
Read/Review Scripts
Provide coverage in a quick and timely manner
Craft Great Loglines
Help with grids and overall development needs
Seek out New Scripts/Talent (Writers/Writer-Directors)
Work w/ Writers-Creators of Current Slate Projects to Fulfill Project Needs
Develop ideas for Marketing/Transmedia for Slate Projects
Keep up with current Industry Trends
Watch a variety of Content; Films/Television/Digital Series/Shorts
Review Film and Series Bibles and/or One Pagers
Listen to Scripted Podcasts
Design/Draft One Pagers
What You'll Need:

Internship Schedule: October 7th to December 20th, 2024 (10wks - not including the week of Thanksgiving)

SCAT tv Entertainment's mission is to be the world's preeminent youth-oriented media company as well as a gatekeeper for emerging talent. Our current is on coming-of-age stories focused on youth between 14-30 years of age with our sweet spot being Characters 16-34 y/o. The highlights of content we look for are eclectic stories that are diverse, reflective, and authentic to youth and young adults whether the project is Comedy, Horror, Drama, etc. all the projects would hit those points.
