ROLE
The crowd artist is responsible for creating the motion of crowds in high-end visual effects film including simulation for planning and previs purposes.

L'artiste des effets de foule sera responsable de la création du mouvement des foules pour longs-métrages ainsi que des simulations à des fins de planification et de previs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create digital crowd behaviors and simulations to achieve the look, movement, and style envisioned by the Director & Production
• Collaborate and communicate with VFX/CG Supervisors and Producers in order to implement efficient and effective ways to integrate crowd pipeline tools and techniques and problem solve issues in feature film development
• Establish on-going communication with artist, leads, production and supervisors regarding schedules, deadlines, and shot/sequence feedback; attend all relevant meetings on shots, sequences and production
• Able to troubleshoot and find solutions to technical challenges and execute them effectively
• Propose creative approaches and solutions for any specific shots
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 2 - 5 years Crowd/Motion Experience in VFX Feature Film, TV or Special Venues
• Massive, Maya and Python (required)
• Knowledge/experience with 3DS Max (preferred)
• Rigging and Animation experience (a plus)
• Experience with MoCap Retargeting in Maya or MotionBuilder (a plus)
• Experience with MiArmy, Golaem, Houdini Crowds, or other crowd software packages (a plus)
• Demo Reel demonstrating artistic and technical ability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Be a team player and able to perform within a collaborative environment
EXPÉRIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS PROFESSIONNELLES
• Avoir un baccalauréat ou expérience équivalente
• 2 à 5 ans d'expérience en simulation de foule et de mouvement pour longs-métrages
• Massive, Maya et Python (requis)
• Expérience avec 3DS Max (préférée)
• Expérience en rigging et animation (atout)
• Expérience avec le reciblage MoCap dans Maya ou MotionBuilder (atout)
• MiArmy, Golaem, Houdini Crowds ou connaissances d'autres logiciel de simulation de foule (atouts)
• Démo reel démontrant des capacités artistiques et techniques
• Capacité à travailler de façon autonome avec un minimum de supervision
• Avoir un esprit d'équipe et exceller dans un environnement collaboratif
