Position: Premium Hospitality Club Manager
Reports To: Senior Vice President, Giants Enterprises
Department: Giants Enterprises
Status: Full-Time Exempt
Position Summary
The Premium Hospitality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Giants' premium club offerings, including activities, operation of premium venues and relationship between club and its clients, guests, employees, vendors and industry. Individual will develop, coordinate and administer policies and operating procedures in order to maximize client satisfaction and retention.
Position Responsibilities
• Provides quality leadership in managing and executing all aspects of the club's premium operations and services
• Maintains regular contact with clients and helps to assure maximum satisfaction; receives and resolves client and guest inquiries and concerns, drafts communications and manages CRM software
• Supports development of event programming and private event operations
• Oversees food and beverage operation; works with Bon Appetit to ensure accurate and timely reporting, increase operational efficiencies and control costs
• Functions as administrative link between clubs and the organization; fulfills internal requests for executives, investors, sponsors and special events
• Develops and implements annual and long term business plans, operating reports, forecasts and budgets; course corrects as needed to maintain budget goals
• Researches new business development opportunities and develops an analysis of their costs and benefits
• Oversees the supervision, scheduling, hiring, training and development of staff; enforces policies and procedures in accordance with the Giants employee handbook
• Performs opening and closing duties and serves as Manager on Duty
• Participates in ongoing facility inspections to assure that cleanliness, maintenance, safety and other standards are consistently attained
• Reviews all incidents and works with operations to complete incident reports
• Assists in the planning of facility improvements, remodeling, construction and repair
• Ensures all legal requirements are consistently followed
• Attends management and staff meetings as scheduled and conducts department meetings with staff
• Attends conferences, workshops and meetings (e.g., CMAA's World Conference and Club Business Expo and ALSD Conference and Tradeshow) to keep abreast of current information and developments in the field
Knowledge and Skills
• Bachelor's Degree required, emphasis in hospitality management preferred
• Minimum 8 years of related experience required in the hospitality industry, with management and supervisory experience and progressive professional advancement
• Management of complex capital projects
• Must demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational and project management skills
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety procedures; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations
• Member of Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD) and/or other professional associations preferred
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft office with emphasis in Word, Power Point and Excel
• Track record of successfully working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience motivating staff members to achieve successful results
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards
• Excellent organizational and customer service/problem solving skills
• Must be proactive and able to think quickly and strategically
• Able to work non-traditional hours
