About Giants Enterprises:
Giants Enterprises is dedicated to developing new ventures beyond the Major League Baseball franchise in addition to utilizing AT&T Park, PIER 48 and Mission Rock as destinations for non-baseball special events in San Francisco. Since 2000, Giants Enterprises has produced more than 2,500 private events, created a membership-based Private Club within AT&T Park (The Gotham Club) and hosted numerous public events, including major concerts, motor sports events, international soccer matches, professional and college football games, Cirque du Soleil, the Giant Race and America's Cup spectator experiences.
Position Summary:
The Hospitality Director is responsible for curating and delivering the overall experience related to all Giants Enterprises event and initiatives. This role will help to oversee the day to day food and beverage operation of Giants Enterprises as well as ensure a high standard appearance, hospitality and service is upheld across all Giants Enterprises properties, including non-baseball events, client related initiatives, The Gotham Club & Giants Maritime Services.
Position Responsibilities:
• Determine and direct the optics related to all Giants Enterprises events & business initiatives
• Provides regular and accurate financial reporting
• Sets and meets budgetary goals for revenue, labor, cost of goods and expenses. Analyzes business and works with Management to make operational changes
• Manages relationship with ballpark's exclusive food and beverage provider, Bon Appetit Management Company. Teaches and adheres to Bon Appétit's philosophy, culture and commitment to quality food and exemplary service
• Regularly meets with Executive Chefs and F&B Management team to review, revise and update the catering & dining menus and equipment requirements, reflecting culinary trends, prices and guest needs
• Coordinates event décor with food and beverage displays and ensures that appropriate service levels are adhered to
• Uses his/her judgment to integrate current trends in event management and event design
• Identifies operational challenges associated with events and determines how to best work with the staff and clients to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions
• Detail oriented, creative and strategic individual that is able to work in a fast paced and evolving atmosphere
• Participates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessary
• Works directly with clients & internal parties to create custom F&B programs
• Develops, revises and enforces Standard Operating Procedures and ensures consistency across all properties
• Solicits feedback from the all parties to identify areas for improvement to enhance the client's experience
• Oversees the daily appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of food and beverage displays at GE events
Skills
and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required emphasis in hospitality management preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years related experience required in the hospitality, food & beverage and/or convention services industry
• Must be proactive and able to think quickly, creatively and strategically
• Detail oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a high-stress environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated experience with Word, Power Point and Excel
• Able to work non-traditional hours
