Title: Business Analyst
Department: Business Analytics
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Summary:
The Business Analyst is responsible for execution against project-oriented efforts in the areas of reporting, goal setting, data visualizations, predictive modeling, strategic analysis and refined business processes.
Position Responsibilities:
• Understand the overarching business realities, strategies and objectives in a fashion that benefits the execution of established priorities and which helps to deliver meaningful, timely information and recommendations.
• Create easily digestible and customizable reports and data visualizations.
• Deliver individual, departmental and organizational revenue goals, grounded in appropriate data and provided in a timely fashion.
• Create a mostly automated environment that provides visibility across a variety of business units to commissions and incentives, as a function of established goals.
• Evaluate variables and use scientific assessment to predict results based on changing inputs.
• Leverage data and analytics to develop new business processes and the alerts and triggers that benefit and streamline those processes
• Identify appropriate opportunities to leverage registered developer license with TDC, such that an appropriate roadmap is laid out and accomplished in the areas of automating business processes and improved customer experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Management or Statistics a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience performing analytic and strategic investigation.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of data structures.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Data Warehouse, Amazon Web Services, SQL-based database systems, and/or other enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Knowledge and understanding of data visualizations and dashboard best practices.
• Experience working with visualization and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Looker.
• Experience working with SQL, Access, Excel and other resources that aid in analytic work.
• Demonstrated programming capabilities in SQL. Python, R and/or any other applicable programming languages that can benefit the analytic work and objectives of the Business Analytics group would be a plus.
• Ability to communicate findings to business users, such that analytic discoveries are digestible and actionable.
• Project-oriented approach and the ability to be a self-starter, who organizes and prioritizes a variety of concurrent efforts, will be key to success
