POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Audio Visual Technology role is responsible for being a subject matter expert for all audio visual technology components, process, and maintenance activities related to Spurs Sports & Entertainment. This role will service and deal with a diverse group of important clients and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. The Senior Manager of Audio Visual Technology is also responsible for planning and coordinating production events and systems necessary for business operations. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to the design, personal development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.

Responsibilities:
• Manage responsibility for multiple services and activities involved in the production of live events and other audio visual needs in the venue.
• Assist with budget, research, builds and service of equipment.
• Assist with design and implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure audio visual technology capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Provide ongoing training and certification programs to ensure department staff skills remain current and are able to provide the best services and deliver top results for our events.
• Development of the audio visual technology direct reports to grow and develop as highly skilled audio visual technicians and engineers. Inspire staff to attain goals and pursue excellence. Develop accountability with staff regarding consistency and quality assurance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Associates degree in the field Audio Visual field and/or 8 years equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in leading or managing complex, large scale, enterprise venue Audio Visual.
• 4 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with video and audio signal flow.
• Experience with setup and operation of analog PA systems and intercoms.
• Knowledge and proven ability to achieve digital audio standards.
• Experience working in a sports entertainment venue (NBA, NFL, NHL, NCCAA, MLS or MLB) is preferred
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to use interpersonal styles and communication methods to inspire and collaborative effectively.
• Ability to build trust by leading with integrity; can motivate others, manage conflict, and maintain composure in high pressure situations.
• Ability to operate tools, components, peripheral accessories, and research technology relating to field.
• Ability to explain complex solutions to problems to non-technical users.
• Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Adhere to company guidelines related to attendance, computer usage, etc.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites and work remotely within each franchise location (AT&T Center, Toyota Field, Austin, Practice Facility) relating to AV needs.
• Adhere to company guidelines related to attendance, computer usage, etc.
• 60% of job able to be performed remotely/40% of work needed to be performed onsite as needed or on a seasonal basis.
