Overview-
The Marketing Automation Specialist will play a key role in our Brand Engagement and Sales efforts by improving our Email Marketing, Marketing Automation, CRM, Lead Generation and other email based communications for Spurs Sports & Entertainment franchises. This individual will work to establish automation strategy, goals, and improve general database practices for all franchises and venue communications. This individual should be able to make campaign suggestions based on data-driven analysis and best practice industry trends. In addition, this person will coordinate with other departments to help achieve organizational goals, demonstrate alignment with SS&E's Core Values and Mission and collaborate with internal/external family members and demonstrate ongoing development.
Responsibilities

1. Email Marketing: Manage Oracle Eloqua for various sales, marketing, and service campaigns. Manage & maintain custom segments to provide maximum effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Campaign management of single and multi-step marketing campaigns. Update and manage database subscriptions segments, work with Email Marketing Coordinator to streamline regular Season Ticket Member email communications, coordinate content and creative for regular email newsletters and event specific ticket sales campaigns and track performance.
2. CRM: Work with CRM Manager to improve data quality, help manage activation from Ticket Sales department, and run regular reporting and track performance. Must have knowledge on data platform connectors and integrations to run automated campaigns through various systems.
3. Lead Generation: Develop multi-step campaigns that consider full journey of customer for inbound marketing campaigns. Query event buyers from ticketing systems, coordinate with Partnership Activation and Digital on specific campaigns, work with marketing for event data capture, acquire and scrub other data sources like, league data, survey data, and automate new leads into CRM and Email systems.
4. Analytics/Other: Perform and report analytics on strategic tests like AB test, send time optimization, Google Analytics connectors, and content performance through email. Assist Analytics team with survey analysis or other projects and build and manage Formstack platform. Experience with database cleansing and contact data streamlining.
5. Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
• A minimum education level of: BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, or related discipline
• 5 years of experience in email or database marketing
• Experience with CRM, marketing automation, marketing strategy, and ticketing platforms required
• Technical experience with: HTML, Google Analytics, Oracle Marketing Cloud, and front-end web development.
• Database knowledge: building queries, exporting data, (SQL knowledge a plus), campaign analysis
• Experience in the Professional Sports and Entertainment industry dealing with ticketing data a plus
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Presentation/communication skills, with an ability to resolve situations quickly and confidently
• Willing to work flexible hours on occasion including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Graphic design skills preferred
• Experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge/experience of sports entertainment and sports industry preferred
• Problem-Solving Skills
