Part Time Unpaid Internship
Overview:
This position will support in website development for all Spurs Sports & Entertainment franchises. Under the guidance of the Sr. Digital Developer, and partnering with the Marketing, Design, and Content Teams, gather business requirements and design technical solutions to meet those needs. Be familiar with Drupal and WordPress Content Management Systems, as well as the ability to learn and adapt to new ones. Works well on their own and within groups, and provides helpful suggestions based on web analytics in order to help drive traffic to our digital properties. Understand and modify existing systems as business requirements and consumer behaviors change. Graphic Design abilities are a plus. The eligible candidate should meet a multitude of qualifications, including but not limited to: the ability to maintain confidential documents and files, handle multiple tasks, maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude and have strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Help develop responsive web pages.
• Utilize knowledge of HTML and CSS to build and make changes to our web properties based on Marketing needs.
• Update content (videos, photos, press releases, promotions) through various CMS's
• Design various web graphics based on needs for social and web.
• Respond to, isolate and resolve programming problem.
Qualifications:
Well versed in HTML, CSS, and other software languages used for web and mobile web development (i.e. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of Responsive Design.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML and ability to parse data feeds.
• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator a plus). Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and other computer skills required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high level positions.
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
• Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
• Strong teamwork aptitude required.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Strong good oral and written communication skills
• The ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Stand/Sit/Walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to travel/spend time in office 50% of time.
