Overview
Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) is looking for a dynamic senior coordinator to join our family! The person in this role will be based in Austin, TX and provide support to the VP of Business and Basketball Strategy/Deputy General Counsel and other leaders of our team. Additionally, this person will manage and coordinate special projects and also assist with event planning while being responsible for the administration of department budgets and other logistical matters. Relationship building and targeted research will also be a part of this person’s responsibilities as well as maintaining confidential documents and files, balance multiple tasks simultaneously, have strong organizational skills, and consistently exhibit a professional demeanor, and enthusiasm for departmental and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the organization, execution and administration of special projects and event planning as assigned. This includes coordination of employee resources, setting project timelines and providing status updates to leadership while ensuring projects are on track and on budget.
• Efficient, seamless, and cost-effective planning of events, special projects, and other various organizational functions
• Proper process and documentation to create best practices for future events
• Perform and effectively communicate vital information and research to support department projects and initiatives.
• Thorough, accurate and timely research of key business strategy people, places, and processes
• Establish and maintain relationships with both current and potential key partners, vendors, and venue contacts.
• Support procurement and develop relationships with key growth market leaders and influencers, (Austin and Mexico)
• Both facilitate and build relationships to best enhance Spur’s brand and visibility
• Work with internal organizational stakeholders to best facilitate business strategy initiatives
• Provide day-to-day administrative support as it relates to calendar administration, files, phone calls, mail, coordination of travel/hotel accommodations, and general correspondence.
• Timely and efficient schedule prioritization and other administrative functions
• Accurate and timely budget maintenance and department expense reporting
• Attention to detail
• Proactive and anticipatory administrative duties fulfilled
• Provide human resources assistance to the Business Strategy team in regard to new employee hires within the department
• Plan, prioritize, and help facilitate internal and external meetings within Basketball Operations and/or Business Operations, including virtual and on-site meetings that take place in our market region (including San Antonio, Austin, and South Texas)
• Assists with the development and maintenance of the department budget
Qualifications
• 4 years of combined executive administrative responsibilities, project management and/or event planning experience
• College degree preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, and other general digital literacy
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high-level positions
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, important, and confidential situations and information
• Demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of vendors, clients, partners, and fans at all levels
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Effectively work independently and coordinate multiple tasks
• Stand/Sit/Walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Flexibility to work extended hours including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Ability and means to travel to key areas of our business and market region
• Possess a current Passport and have the ability to travel internationally (i.e., Mexico) if needed
• Bilingual is a plus (Spanish preferred)
