Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
SAG-AFTRA has a forty year plus partnership with the American Film Institute (AFI). The Program Manager for the LA Conservatory plans, organizes and manages all events, programs, resources and daily functions of the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory and supports the LA Local team and committees in the implementation of all related initiatives. Working primarily offsite on the AFI campus, this is an incredible opportunity for someone who is motivated, able to work independently, and likes a challenge.

• Serve as liaison and key contact for the SAG-AFTRA LA Conservatory Committee and its members. This includes handling all committee correspondence, supporting committee chairs, meeting agendas and other governance department requests as well as maintaining records.
• Serve as a SAG-AFTRA liaison to the American Film Institute by supporting partnership efforts and coordination of usage of spaces at AFI.
• Maintain the LA Conservatory membership database.
• Oversee all aspects of the LA Conservatory classes, special events, table reads and self-taping. This includes administration of enrollment, scheduling, class rosters, and attendance tracking.
• Collaborate with LA Conservatory Committee to develop curriculum, vet instructors, schedule classes and enforce policies.
• Responsible for all communications, including the quarterly newsletter with Conservatory membership.
• Create and oversee the LA Conservatory budget.
• Supervise and schedule SAG-AFTRA volunteers when needed.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the LA Conservatory office located at the American Film Institute..
• Plan and execute the annual SAG-AFTRA LA Conservatory weekend Summer Intensive.
• Cultivate and maintain strong positive relationships with LA Conservatory members, committee members and chairs, instructors, AFI staff and students and SAG-AFTRA departments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
/Experience:
• Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience overseeing multi-faceted educational programs is preferred.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Minimum of five years administrative experience.
