Full Time Job
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Receives payments for member fees
- Balances and posts payment batches
- Enters and maintains member payment information via online system
- Ensures payment received from member is correct and is owed by the member
- Member interaction at the cashiering window
- Makes change for cash transactions
- Follows all required processes for accepting credit card and check payments
- Ensures cash drawer is balanced and contains necessary denominations for cash transactions
- Answers all member payment inquiries in a professional manner
- Uses appropriate chain-of-command for member inquiries when necessary
- Researches member inquiries if information is not readily accessible via online system
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Demonstrate effective skills in the use of PC applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment
- Ability to be flexible
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English; in both verbal and written form
- Must be detail oriented
- Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines
- Able to work under pressure
- Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor
- Superlative interpersonal skills: Excellent phone manners. High degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally
- Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members
- Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity
- Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by SAGAFTRA’s attendance policy
- Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week, including
weekends, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' cashiering experience
- 2 years' data entry experience
Certificates, licenses, and/or registrations:
- N/A
TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic skills- math, spelling, grammar and filing – passing score: 76%
- Word and Excel tests (basic and intermediate) – passing score: 76%
- 10-Key test (by touch)
- Typing test 35 WPM
