Responsibilities
ESSE What You’ll Do
(This section provides a general summary of the most significant job duties performed. It does not explain in detail every single duty performed.)
• Processes all in-coming and out-going mail for the New York offices; responsible for regulation of postage meters; supervises use of Federal Express and United Parcel Services.
• Responsible for monitoring departmental stock and supplies; maintains ledger for all departmental supplies ordered and received; maintains inventory log of departmental supplies.
• Interacts with paper, product and supplies vendors, maintain records of order status and impending calls.
• Responsible for daily setup of conference rooms for meetings and special events which includes breaking down and setting up of boardroom table.
• Responsible for daily replenishing of supplies for the kitchen and pantry areas.
• Oversees and assists in installation and repairs of shelving units, bookcases cabinets, etc.
• Oversees and assists in the lighting maintenance for the entire office.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Must be computer proficient (MS Office Suite, UPS-online, FedEx online).

• Extensive trouble-shooting and problem solving experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.

• Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
• Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
• Proven proficiency with a highly detail oriented workload regarding account reconciliation.
• Ability to lift 30-40 pounds is required.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
• High school diploma and 1 to 2 years prior applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
• Basic skills: Spelling, math, grammar and filing – passing score: 76%
• Microsoft Word and Excel tests – passing score: 76%
• Typing test 35 WPM
