Information Management Coordinator - Stop Payment Desk
POSITION PURPOSE: Process stop payments and re-issues of checks, process Agent Authorizations, and act as a floater in the processing department.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives incoming calls relating to stop payment of checks / stale dated or lost
• Explain the stop payment procedure to performers
• Maintain a log of checks returned to studio or payroll house for re-issue
• Follow up with studios and payroll houses on the progress of checks returned for re-issue
• Maintain file of performer’s authorizations for the stop payment and re-issue of checks
• Receive and process agent authorizations
• Act as a floater working on projects and/or filling in as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Superior customer service abilities
• Able to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook applications
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Able to accurately type 35 WPM
• Able to use PC applications
• Detail oriented
• Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines
• Able to work under pressure
• Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally
• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members
• Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor
• Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week, including weekends as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year prior Customer Service experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience or knowledge in residuals processing (preferred, not required)
• Minimum of 1year prior experience in a processing environment preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook applications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
Basic skills: spelling, math, grammar, typing and filing – passing score: 76%
Microsoft Word and Excel tests (basic and intermediate) – passing score: 76%
