Full Time Job
POSITION PURPOSE:
To establish, maintain and ensure a positive relationship with Broadcast unit employees, including those employed in network news and sports operations on a nationwide basis. Responsible for all membership account management and outreach communication for such hired and departing Broadcast employees. To establish a relationship with broadcast station and network employer representatives (i.e., Human Resources and News Management). Function as resource for other Locals and staff nationwide on broadcast membership procedures.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Point person for new hires and departing employees at stations and networks in the WMA Local and network operations nationally. These employees include Anchors, Reporters, Correspondents, DJs, Producers, Editors, Writers, and the like. Fields general questions about SAG-AFTRA from Broadcasters, and pointed queries as to the necessity to tender initiation and dues. Personal meetings with Broadcasters regarding membership process.
• Acts as resource for other Locals and staff nationwide on Broadcast membership procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate records for the legal enforcement of union security clauses in Broadcast contracts.
• Assists in and reviews all Broadcast billing and payment processes including Dues Check-Off and Employer Reported Earnings. Tracks Broadcaster earnings for purposes of membership outreach.
• Point of contact with employer representatives (i.e., Human Resources, Management) for new hires, transfers, terminations under CBA.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. High caliber level of communication skills needed to assist sophisticated Broadcast unit members.
• Able to organize and coordinate detailed multiple tasks under daily deadlines.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent math skills.
• Able to use PC applications.
• Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
• Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity.
• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Able to prioritize tasks.
• Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.

• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non-exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
3-4 years of formal training or education beyond high school.
