ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF PERFORMERS PROGRAMS

Job Summary
The New York Associate Director of Performers Programs will support the National Director of Performers Programs to help manage, develop, execute and ensure the Foundation is consistently implementing high quality, dynamic, relevant and creative educational programs on the ground in New York, and virtually, online. The Performers Programs are made up of Conversations, The Business, Casting Access, the Voiceover Lab, the Computer Lab and the On-Camera Lab and offer a wide range of educational classes and resources which focus on the nuts-and-bolts of both performance and career in order to better prepare a robust talent pool for success in their chosen field of expertise.
This role requires a confident self-starter with a passion for the film and TV industry, high-levels of energy, enthusiasm, initiative, professional polish, leadership thinking and integrity. This person will report directly to the National Director of Performers Programs and will collaborate with program managers across the organization to support each program area.
Due to Covid-19, all programs are currently presented virtually online, recorded, edited and released through the Foundation's website and you-tube channel. We anticipate that in-person programming will resume sometime in 2022.
Responsibilities
-Collaborates with the National Director of Performers Programs on overall Foundation curriculum development, including researching leading industry executives, experts and thought leaders to create and implement programs.
-Oversees the programming teams on the East Coast and supports the delivery and overall success of each program
-Collaborates with the National Director of Performers Programs to create outreach strategies for targeting and building brand awareness for the Foundation.
-Develops and produces Panels and programming across the disciplines.
-Utilizes relationships with PR teams at studios and networks as well as personal PR firms.
-Maintains relationships with entertainment industry professionals and organizations - including publicists, studios, agents, managers, journalists.
-With a sharp eye for detail, coordinates scheduling of programming, and all aspects of event execution.
-Composes internal and external communications, including e-blasts and outreach to publicists, distributors, and studios.
-Collects data as needed for proposal-writing and grant-reporting requirements and compiling statistics.
-Coordinates all aspects of program delivery in venues, including patron management and technical needs.
-Devises and implements strategies for measuring program impact and effectiveness.
-Assesses staff performance, conduct annual reviews, and strategize for improving staff performance.
-Any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree
-Minimum of four (4) years professional experience in arts programming
-Deep understanding of the entertainment industry
-Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
-Exemplary project management and writing skills
-Experience overseeing a team of staff
-Self-starter, able to juggle projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
-Excellent interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact
-Able to work independently and as a member of a team
-High level competence with Google suite, YouTube, All social media platforms, MS Office programs, Mailchimp, Zoom
