Capsule Position Description:
The NBA's Sacramento Kings is looking for a Partner Account Coordinator for its Partnership Marketing team to create long-term, trusting relationships with our corporate partners. The Coordinator's role is to assist the Partner Account Managers on service and activation.
Partner Account Coordinator responsibilities include developing strong relationships with corporate partners, connecting with key business executives and serving as a respected sports marketing consultant. Senior Coordinators also execute on partner marketing objectives and identify new business opportunities among existing clients. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Marketing, Game Operations, Ticket Sales and Arena Operations) to execute on partner objectives. This position may require occasional travel.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Assist Partner Account Managers in all aspects of account management
• Assist with presentations (recaps and proposals), update season spreadsheets, follow up on in-house partner activations, contribute to partner brainstorming meetings
• Inventory management of Partnership Marketing assets via KORE
• Assist with Partnership Marketing proposals, power point decks and recaps
Coordinate Partnership Marketing hospitality and event logistics
• Assist in researching and understanding the National and Northern California media marketplace including television, radio, print, etc…Research would include creating PowerPoint/word/excel documents highlighting key findings and trends
Analysis will also include deep dive research into key categories (i.e. Auto, Wireless, Banking, etc.)
• Management of key prospect document(s) highlighting relevant findings
Researching TeamNet for marketing ideas implemented by other teams and entertainment organizations, and creates ROI proposals for internal approval
• Assist Senior Director in budget reports and invoice process. Includes, creation of POs, monthly review of finances and budget creation
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting partner relationships
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key account stakeholders
• Help negotiate contracts and close agreements
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of contracted marketing solutions according to customer needs and objectives
• Clearly communicate the progress of marketing initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
• Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales and activation goals and assist the Partner Account Managers with the same
• Co-develop and track key account metrics against partnership goals (e.g. brand awareness, traffic drivers, opt-ins)
• Prepare reports on account activity, growth and renewal risk assessments
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
• Various other projects and duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Adaptable/Flexible personality
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
• Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, KORE), Channel 1 and PowerPoint.
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
• Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field
