Summary: This position is responsible for providing a wide range of program support to the community impact department in multiple areas including, but not limited to, community impact priority partners, planning and implementation of 50/50 raffle, donation requests and fulfillment, community outreach and engagement events and Sacramento Kings home game nights.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA'S):
• Assist with the planning and implementation of various community programs under the NBA Cares Initiatives and Community Impact Priority areas
• Coordinate CI Department replies to in-kind requests for donations, fundraising requests, community awards and engagements, community appearances at community events,
• Coordinate in-kind ticket donation program for Kings & Golden 1 Center Including fulfillment of tax letters to donors.
• Serve as community impact liaison to various business departments
• Coordinate Kings in-game birthday/anniversary announcements.
• Coordinate game night duties including:
• 50/50 raffle and community partnerships each game night
• Silent auction opportunities
• Support Community ticket program partners in attendance
• Coordinate, schedule and facilitating Ball Kids requests and Behind The Scenes tours.
• Assist with on-court community presentations
• Facilitate and conduct arena tours as needed
• Coordinate and support the community impact concourse space in G1C
• Support the coordination of community content.
• Coordinate community impact social media efforts, including handling the community twitter account.
• Respond to community requests, donation requests, fulfillment requests within 48 hours.
• Maintain and organize Autograph Day for organization
• Maintain and organize donation inventory for CI department.
• Actively participate in Team Member skills training and development opportunities and Team Member activities.
• Various other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Communications, Public Relations or related field; or equivalent and relevant work experience in a communications, community service or sports environment.
• Experience with youth basketball programs such as camps and clinics.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet search capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining composure.
• Service oriented; committed to teamwork and catering to the customer.
• Must be able to work game nights, extended hours, days, weekends and holidays when necessary.
