Capsule Position Description: The Sacramento Kings are looking for an experienced Art Director to join our award-winning creative team. This role is ideal for a leader, team player, and creative thinker that thinks big-picture, dreams of inventive way to engage our fans and is passionate about making Sacramento Proud.
Key Responsibilities Areas (KRA's):
You will work alongside the Creative Director concepting campaigns. The art director with lead the team of designers to develop the brand's content across all channels including digital, social, broadcast, print and whatever comes next. You will help manage and grow the creative teams and oversee and approve the work. You will also need to collaborate closely on brand and product strategy with a tight-knit and razor-sharp marketing team.
Qualifications:
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and have 6-8 years of experience with an impressive portfolio. Sports or agency background a huge plus!
• Collaborate and work well within creative teams and with multiple creative partners.
• Have experience leading, directing, and nurturing junior creatives.
• Be able to identify good ideas from others and be willing to work with them to help develop and grow those ideas.
• Be ready to roll up your sleeves and go from creator to manager and back again at a moment's notice.
• Have a can-do attitude and the openness to collaborate with other teams with in the organization.
• Be a quick thinker with attention to detail who is comfortable working in a world of fast paced deadlines and working on several projects at once.
• Have a strong understanding of branding, and how to apply a brand's visual language across multiple touchpoints.
• Be highly proficient in Adobe's Creative Suite.
• Have a good background and experience in strategic thinking and strategic campaign development that can extend into any medium.
