Who we're looking for…
RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Scenic Design Department Intern to serve as design, drafting, clerical, and financial assistant to the Design department within the company.
About the role…
Reporting to the design team, the Scenic Design Department Intern will assist in facilitating scenic design logistics for theme park, cruise line and corporate event accounts. Intern will help to organize show installs and be a vital asset to the production.
What's expected…
. Assist in drafting, rendering, and budgeting scenic designs. Using Vectorworks, Illustrator and Photoshop.
. Source bids for scenic designs and supplies as needed by the design department.
. In collaboration with the design team, organize production prep and install.
. Edit, photograph and update inventory and load in/out care packages.
. Edit and create ground plans, print graphics, and scenic designs
. Label inventory and maintain a clean work environment.
. Organize inventory and vendor database.
. Willingness to learn theatrical scenic skills: basic painting, basic construction, etc.

What you bring...
. Experience or interest in the theatre or entertainment industry
. Advanced written and verbal communication skills
. Experience with Microsoft and Mac software such as Numbers, Pages, and Excel
. Experience with Vectorworks and Potoshop(AutoCAD and Illlustrator incouraged but not required)
. Motivated, loyal, passion, integrity, mission-driven, and self-directed
. Great energy and positivity is a MUST
The deal...
. Work three (3) full business days per week
. Office hours are 9am-5pm
. College credit and MetroCard or stipend
. Starting on or about September 24th, 2018 and ending on or about December 21st, 2018 with option to extend
