RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Manager of Wardrobe Operations to join our team of world-class designers and production staff.
About the role…
Reporting to the Senior Director of Design, the Manager of Wardrobe Operations will facilitate wardrobe logistics for theme park, cruise line and corporate event accounts as well as overseeing the wardrobe team and wardrobe shop daily operations. This role will act as point person for outside build shops and vendors and will manage the details needed to ensure the success of productions from conception through execution.
What's expected…
. Manage the day-to-day operations of the wardrobe division, and directly oversee the in-house team of designers and stylists, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client needs are met.
. Work with directors, designers and production management in disseminating information to each area of the wardrobe division.
. Oversee in-house operations including the maintenance of all shop equipment, sourcing, shopping, build and construction of all wardrobe items required for projects.
. Liaise and negotiate with current and potential vendors to ensure items sourced are most cost effective and durable.
. Coordinate all wardrobe needs between outsourced designers, build shops, vendors and talent.
. Manage wardrobe expenses and expense reports, ensuring deliverables remain within budgetary guidelines, as per allocated man days, supplies, materials and dry cleaning.
. Oversee Inventory and management of an expansive in-house stock of costumes, shoes, wigs, jewelry and accessories.
. Oversee coordination of all wardrobe account shipments & manifests, both domestic and international.
. Record & document (electronic and hard copy) all information relating to account wardrobe data as reference for future productions and documentation purposes.
. Provide leadership and training to department staff, designers, and interns.

What you bring…
. At minimum, a BFA/BA degree in theatrical wardrobe construction, or management, or at least 5 years comparable professional experience in the entertainment, educational, or live event production industry
. Ability to meet deadlines, sometimes with narrow time and budget constraints, offering analysis and decisiveness when making decisions
. Expertise in construction techniques such as: pattern making, fitting, measuring, draping, cutting, stitching, quick turnaround alterations, wig and research skills
. Expertise in hand and machine sewing and finishing with an understanding of theatrical costume and construction techniques and terms. . . . Have extensive knowledge in craft skills, mask making, dyeing, paint, millinery and shoe maintenance skills
. The ability to negotiate with vendors and discover creative solutions to keep projects on target and within budget parameters
. Demonstrated strategic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills which exemplify the ability to identify issues or challenges and find a reasonable solution
. Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, calmly and effectively execute under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and meet timelines on large projects from inception through completion
. Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to quickly develop trusting, productive relationships with clients, vendors, staff and all partners
. Willingness to ''roll up your sleeves'' and get into the details as a team player with a ''get things done'' proactive attitude
. Proficiency in MS Office and iWork applications
. Loyalty, passion, integrity, and self-motivation with the ability to work independently
. Experience in building or managing theme park and cruise ship genres a plus
