Who we're looking for…
RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Commercial Content Development Intern.
About the role…
Reporting to the Manager | Theatrical Ventures & Ticketed Experiences, the Commercial Content Development Intern will provide research, dramaturgical and general support by assisting in the daily operations of the Theatrical Ventures & Ticketed Experiences department.
What's expected…
The Commercial Content Development Intern's focused tasks include but are not limited to the following:
Extensive script coverage, analysis, and dramaturgical work
Organize script and project submissions
Assist in the preparation of paperwork and resources for development meetings
The Commercial Content Development Intern will also work alongside the General Management Intern to assist in the daily operation of the department. Daily tasks may include the following:
Assist with research for new and existing projects, brands and IP
Assist with project proposals and presentations
Provide general support for readings, workshops, and developmental labs
Assist in cultivation and curation of industry databases
Continually update project contact sheets and general show files with the most up-to-date information as it is received from all sources
Document office procedures and policies as necessary
Provide general scheduling, travel and meeting support from our offices in Long Island City
Assist in the timely and accurate flow of information in/out of the department to all internal and external players
Represent the department at readings/shows
Provide administrative support as requested

What you bring…
Strong interest/experience in live theatre and entertainment, preferably in theatrical development, directing and/or producing
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and other MS Office applications on a Mac OS
Outgoing personality, outstanding demeanor and ability to remain calm while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Self-starter, positive attitude, loyalty, passion, integrity, discretion
The deal…
Work five (5) full business days per week
Office hours are 10am-6pm
Stipend and MetroCard or college credit
Starting January 2020
